Life has a unique way of throwing curve balls. We set out on a specific path, but then something changes, and we end up going into a different direction. Some things can be exciting. Some may also be saddening. In all cases, it may also be stressful. We may not be able to stop the curve balls, but we do hope that you begin to take control of your emotional world with existential therapy.
The Challenges We All Face
There are challenges that we all face. It can be anything. Providing care to a parent, family or relationship troubles, becoming a new parent, and even getting married are all challenging; even if you feel prepared to handle it.
The stress of even the joyous times can still cause upheaval. Add in the bad stuff that we all deal with and it can become more than we can handle quickly. This is why so many of us are depressed or suffer from anxiety.
People need to find a way to deal with the stress in healthier ways. You need the confidence to know that you can make difficult choices, that you can set your own path, and that you are able to get through the things you are facing. Overcoming Obstacles
Have you ever questioned the purpose you are here on Earth for or felt that you were spinning out of control in a car that had no steering wheel? We have all been there! Typically, it will come after you have suffered a loss or after you have gone through a transition that is major. It may also happen because you feel stuck in a rut that you are unable to climb out of.
You have to take control over the things that you can control. You may not be able to bring someone back to life, but you can decide to face your grief and live as that loved one wants you to. You may feel stuck at your job, but you can make a choice to learn a new hobby or perhaps take a vacation to get out of that rut.
You can learn to take responsibility, face troubles head on, and make the changes that you feel need to be made. Best of all, you can do it without worry of being judged. That is the beauty of trusting in existential therapy and taking control of your world, emotional and otherwise.
